SUSPOL-EJD will aim at excellence in developing high quality training opportunities for early stage researchers in the area of Sustainable Organocatalysis and Polymers. The final objective is to create scientists who will be the future leaders to make the transition of organocatalysis from the lab to sustainable industrial processes and products.

For this transition to be effective, SUSPOL-EJD has the following scientific and technical objectives to be achieved through an ambitious collaborative research program:

  1. Design of innovative organocatalysts for polymerization processes.
  2. Application of new organocatalytic concepts: nature based organocatalysts, dual activation catalyst and bifunctional Brønsted acid and Brønsted base ionic liquid catalysts.
  3. Development of new modelling tools for organocatalyzed polymerizations.
  4. Full understanding and exploitation of all the potential of organocatalysis in polymerization reactions.
  5. Application of organocatalysis to new sustainable polymerization processes and products.
